"Thank you Kathy for this invaluable information and taking the time to put this all together.
And, thank you so much for a beautiful and most relaxing restorative workshop. I loved it! I felt so calm, relaxed and peaceful after. I still do!
I look forward to more classes with you. We are all so blessed to have you here in Durango.
With gratitude."

"I just want to say thank you for the amazing classes that you have been teaching on Wednesday evenings.
I truly believe you are offering your students an extremely high level of teaching, a combination of classic Iyengar and concepts from the latest instructors.
Master classes for sure!
Thank you."

"Thank you so very very much for the incredibly wonderful restorative workshop. I’m not sure I’ve ever had 3 hours go by so quickly and so restfully. Kathy, you are such a gifted yoga instructor and I love the teachings you pepper throughout the class. I am truly so grateful to have had the privilege of being your student for all these many years.
Genuine and heartfelt gratitude."

"I really love your classes and really appreciate all you bring to them---your light-heartedness, your humanness, your experience and knowledge, the poems---everything!
Thank you, thank you!!"

"Kathy Curran was one of my first yoga teachers; I stumbled upon the practice when I was fourteen, obsessed with dance, and hungry to go deeper into the mysteries of the body. From the first class I took from her, Kathy was welcoming, warm, but also a true instructor; she never hesitated to correct my asanas and teach me about the value of paying attention to detail within the practice. In the years since those first formative years, I have considered Kathy's classes to be a home base for me both spiritually and physically. When my father died suddenly ten years ago, her studio was the first place I sought out for comfort and healing. Whenever I returned home from college or living abroad, it was Kathy's studio where I craved to return to a grounded, healing presence within the context of my hometown."
Although I have my own teaching practice in Durango now, I still regard Kathy as my first (and perhaps last!) Master Teacher. Clearly, she practices what she preaches. She teaches with a finesse and lighthearted quality that comes from really being steeped in the tradition for so long. She gives exquisite, detailed instruction but also leaves room for authenticity. Her teaching is refined, but her spirit is inviting and integrated. She does not stand on the pedestal and pretend to be perfect but rather instructs from a heart-centered place where I have always felt respected, safe, and honored for who I am, flaws and shadows all the same. Thank you, Kathy, for being such a positive role model in the community and in my life."

"I thank you from the bottom of my 💗 as your education, passion & delightfulness sharing with others as a teacher as well as being a strong, positive & empowering individual continually challenges me to lead a healthier, happier & balanced life. "

“Seven years ago when I started classes with Kathy, I was still recovering from nerve damage from West Nile virus. I could hardly make it up the stairs to the yoga studio. Kathy's unique and personal approach to teaching helped me find ways to increase my strength, balance and flexibility, and now I can make it to the top of Perrin's Peak! Most important, I've made good friends with my body again and I'm in tune with what it needs and how to provide it. My weekly yoga class is my "home base" -- for life.”

“You have changed my life through your classes and I thank you! “

“I came to yoga by a ski injury. It was something I could do that didn't seem to aggravate my knee. As I bounced around taking different classes I discovered my mind and body really liked yoga. Then my friend took me to Kathy's class and I have been there ever since. Iyengar yoga is all about taking time in each asana to align your body correctly so that the poses become more of a meditation in action and I loved it.
Finally I found a teacher that actually taught you how to do the poses and corrected you. Kathy loves her job and cares about each of her students. She knows what Asanas to do for injuries, depression, knee, back health and many other problems that the Iyengar system addresses. Kathy's classes have a sequencing that will get you deeper into a pose then you ever thought possible. She is an amazing teacher! Since I've been doing yoga with Kathy I've become a much happier, healthier and a better adjusted person. With practice and dedication I've gained a much better sense of equanimity in dealing with life's problems.
Kathy is a gem and Durango is very lucky to have her.”

“That was a great class last night. You are absolutely wonderful! Your yoga knowledge and experience is really inspiring yet you make everyone feel so comfortable and safe. I love your sense of humor and the additional antidotes.
This is going to be a great eight weeks!
Thanks again for your effort and just being YOU.”

“Ever since we meet many years past I have seen your brilliant bright light. You have taught me to smile in yoga and find contentment wherever I may be. I have no doubt you do the same for many. It's a joy to be back as a student in a practice I trust so much in. Thank you. “

“I have been partaking in Kathy's Tuesday Restorative Yoga classes for the last few years and it is lifesaving! She is a thoughtful and energetic teacher, guiding us through each relaxing and restorative pose, working with our individual needs (and injuries!), and providing a soothing and informational narrative to each position.
Thanks Kathy!”

“I can honestly say that your yoga classes have changed my life in a very good way. As you can see, I am attempting to get there twice a week and do some work at home in addition to the discussion group on Thursdays. Life, as it often does, has presented some challenges just lately. Yoga has really helped me weather the storms quite well.
Thanks so much for being such a great inspirational teacher.”
A Blue Lake Ranch Workshop Participant
“I am so impressed once again with your wonderful yoga community...you collectively have a rare receptivity, kindness, and sense of inclusion, which I would hope was more common than it seems to be; it was interesting to hear so many participants in the workshop celebrating YOU and your community; it seems that many people recognize you as one who is at the heart of a special yoga community. Thank you for arranging it all.”
